Students interested in transferring to Ȧ from another college or university may complete this transfer application.
Transfer applications will be reviewed when all transcripts are received. Decisions for transfer students are based on their college-level academic record. Transfer students with 24 or more earned college credits in a diversified program of study must have earned at least a 2.0 GPA.
Please Note: Transfer students are not eligible for the Hope scholarship. Eligibility guidelines can be found in our Hope Scholarship Policy Manual.
In many cases, undergraduate degree candidates who withdrew from Ȧ and did not attend another college or university during their absence, are eligible to re-register through the Registrar's Office, without completing a formal application.
You may transfer up to 90 credits from a regionally accredited college or university for courses in which you have earned a grade of C or higher, as long as the courses are comparable to what is taught at Ȧ.
You will receive a preliminary, unofficial credit evaluation upon acceptance to Ȧ. An official evaluation of transfer credit will be completed by the Office of Undergraduate Admissions for all students once they enroll at the college.
Students may view a list of corresponding courses using . Students transferring from CCRI or URI are advised to visit the for more information regarding transfer within the RI state system.
Prior to acceptance, applicants may log in to , and see how their classes will transfer to Ȧ.
Ȧ also accepts proficiency credit awarded through the College Level Examination Program (CLEP) tests. Get more information on CLEP credits.
Ȧ maintains transfer agreements/articulation agreements with the Community College of Rhode Island (CCRI) and Bristol Community College (BCC).
Students may request a preliminary evaluation via email by sending transcripts and intended major to transfer@ric.edu. You can also make an appointment with one of our transfer admissions counselors to learn more about the transfer admission process and how credits will transfer from another college or university.
