Classes Next Semester!

During the Summer 2025 semester, we offer two types of classes:

  • Intensive Listening + Speaking Classes
  • Intensive TOEFL Preparation Class

We welcome students with any immigration status. A social security number is not required to study in our program.

Our Yearly Schedule

The ESL Intensive Program runs on a semester schedule. Our semesters start 3 times a year: January, May and August. Our classes are held in the evening, from 7–9 pm.
 

Types of Classes Offered

We offer a variety of types of classes throughout the year:

ESL Intensive Classes

In these classes, students are separated by proficiency level. There are 5 levels offered: Beginner to Advanced. In each level, students will learn English writing, reading, speaking, listening and grammar for academic and professional purposes.

Listening & Speaking Classes

In these classes, students are separated by proficiency level. There are 3 levels offered: Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced. In each level, students will learn English presentation skills, pronunciation vocabulary and conversation lessons for academic and professional purposes. These classes and levels are independent from the the “ESL Intensive Classes”.​

TOEFL Preparation Class

This class will help students prepare for the TOEFL Exam. Students will practice test-taking skills. Students do not need to take the TOEFL Exam, but the class will help them prepare for the exam. Only students with high-intermediate and advanced English proficiency can enroll in this class. This class is only offered in the summer semester.
 

What to Expect in Class

In class, instructors use a variety of methods and techniques to meet students’ needs. Students will experience language learning through communicative & academically-focused lessons. In each class, students are required to be actively involved in practicing their English with a variety of classroom activities including: 

  • conversation practice
  • guided grammar practice
  • writing assignments
  • academic presentations
  • interactive class activities

Summer (May) 2025 Classes

Course Details

  • Registration Events: May 12, 13, 14, 15. Attend one event only.
  • Semester Dates: Monday, May 19, 2025 - Tuesday, August 5
  • Class Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, 7–9 pm
  • Location: In-person, on the main ΢Ȧ campus
  • 3 Levels Offered: Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced
  • Cost: $685 (includes textbook)
  • Total Class Hours: 92 hours

Class Description

In these classes, students will learn presentation skills, pronunciation & conversation lessons, etc. for academic and professional purposes. These classes and levels are independent from the the “ESL Intensive Classes”.​

Course Details

  • Class Schedule: Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, 7–9 pm
  • Location: In-person, on the main ΢Ȧ campus

  • Cost: $585 (includes textbook)
  • Total Class Hours: 70 hours

In this class, students will practice reading, writing, listening and speaking skills specifically to prepare for the TOEFL exam. Students don’t need to take the TOEFL exam, but this class will focus on improving overall test-taking strategies. This class is only open to students with a high-intermediate and advanced proficiency level of English.
